Setting up your new system can be a daunting task ... however, there are ways we can assist your changeover process to minimise your workload !

If you are changing from an existing system, wherever possible we can assist with the extraction of your master system files (Products, Customers, Suppliers and Chart of Accounts) from your old system ... we will then return these master files to you in a spreadsheet, to ensure they contain all required data.

At this point, we can simply use these spreadsheets to create your new Merlin database, or you can take the opportunity to review your current business structures (such as product groups, departments) and go through the spreadsheets to "clean up" any old or obsolete data before the new database is created.  This process will happen prior to your on-site installation, and depending on the level of input you require, may take place a few weeks prior to your new system installation.

If you are starting fresh with a computer system, we can supply you with some blank template spreadsheets for you to begin constructing your master files ... sometimes, product information can be obtained from your suppliers also, which can be used as the basis of your new database.
