Merlin Software provides Cobalt Retail systems on our specially built, dedicated Cobalt Enterprise Server hardware, giving you access to a high level server system at an affordable price. All standard software modules Point of Sale, General Accounting, Payroll & Commission Sales, are included in our fee structure (please note additional fees apply for our Multi-site and eCommerce modules).

Cobalt Retail and Cobalt Enterprise Server are only available on a three year rental contract, for a reasonable monthly fee – and this fee includes a basic database creation and a start-up allowance for remote installation and training time.

During your three year contract, Cobalt Enterprise Server remains under full replacement warranty, and the monthly fee also includes Cobalt Retail licensing, access to our support team, and all standard software upgrades as released throughout the year (generally once per quarter).

A fixed monthly fee allows for sensible budgeting for all businesses, and this fee will only change if you increase the number of users accessing your system – whilst we do not charge per user for Cobalt Retail licensing, there may be an increased fee for server licenses. If this occurs during your contract period, we will send you an upgraded Cobalt Enterprise Server immediately to meet your new accessibility requirements.

Additional training time or on-site attendance can be purchased separately.
