In 1981, Kevern Kendle (CPA) founded his own business to provide management and financial consulting services to South Australian small businesses. It quickly became apparent that computers would play an integral part of the future of this market sector, and as such Kendle Computers Services Pty Ltd devoted it’s entire foundations to computer based activities in 1984.

Since then, we have focused our attention on the retail point of sale industry, and until early 2001 we were the Master Distributor for Breeze Software in South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Today, we have expanded our client base to cover all areas of Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

In the mid 1990’s, we began a master plan to develop our own software systems in (what was then) the new Windows operating systems, and the onset of Internet tools. From here, our Merlin Software modules have grown rapidly, developed and designed by our team to incorporate all of our combined industry knowledge ... with the input from both our experienced team members and our entire client base.

With our in-house software development capabilities and our relationships with major hardware vendors, we are truly in a position to offer our clients an extensive 'one-stop-shop' ... and one that uses modern technology, fully supported software systems and is also founded on a long, enviable, record for quality products and service! 

We pride ourselves on our reputation for offering our clients a high level of customer service, and this will remain our primary focus as software vendors at all times.

In March 2004, our company changed its name to Merlin Software Pty Ltd, to ensure that all aspects of our operations reflect our brand identity!

Since this time, we have also opened an office in Queensland, based south of Brisbane, and have expanded our dealer network into Western Australia and New South Wales.
